In Ayurvedic cooking, we work on balancing the five elements:
while keeping an eye on the optimal combination for one’s body type and the dominant doshas (Vata, pitta, or Kapha). A person’s dominant dosha type or combination can be determined by a series of questions, by sensing a person’s pulse, or through observation by a qualified Ayurveda practitioner.
